Please join us for the fourth annual Grace and Paul Shahinian Armenian Christian Art and Culture Lecture series at The Catholic University of America. This year’s lecture, “Armenian Art and the World,” will be presented by Helen C. Evans, Ph.D., Mary and Michael Jaharis curator emerita of Byzantine Art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Armenian Art — from its domed churches and intricate sculpted images to elaborately illuminated manuscripts, gilded reliquaries, and richly decorated textiles — is the multifaceted visual voice of the Armenian people. Learn how Armenian art, once studied primarily as a national tradition, reflects Armenia’s significance and influence around the world.

A reception will follow the lecture. We hope to see you there!
