The National Collection for The Catholic University of America - Serving the Church and Nation

Catholic University, the “bishops’ university,” is the national university of the Catholic Church in the United States. Gifts to the national collection—the only second collection taken for higher education—help the University conduct critical research and develop innovative programming to serve parishes and dioceses throughout the country. Such initiatives include:

• the formation of seminarians, priests, and religious
• the preparation of lay ministers for service and leadership in the Church
• certification of expertise in areas such as church management and administration, child protection, canon law, and hispanic and youth ministries
• innovative programming like The Catholic Project for priestly vocations and the Fulton J. Sheen Excellence in Preaching Initiative
• and much more.
