Known by generations of Cardinals as simply "Ms. Willie," Willie Joyner has been a pillar of the Catholic University campus community since 1974.
Ms. Willie’s smiling face and kind demeanor have welcomed students for over 50 years, making their well-being a top priority throughout her career through her listening ear and welcoming hugs. Her efforts have not gone unnoticed. In 2020, during the pandemic, she took on new responsibilities to ensure students felt safe in dining spaces. Students reported returning to the Eatery in the Edward J. Pryzbyla Center not only for the food but also for the chance to reconnect with Ms. Willie when they entered. In May 2021, she received industry recognition from “Food Management” as a college food service hero.
Now, we have the opportunity to commemorate and honor Ms. Willie’s 50 years of service to the University and ensure her impact is felt for generations of Cardinals to come through the Ms. Willie Joyner Impact Scholarship Fund.
